My process combined both design and technical print production. Each piece was built from scratch in Photoshop using a structured, multi-layered composition to ensure full control over layout, materials, and finishing details. To prepare the varnish application, I created a dedicated selection layer identifying the exact areas where the finish would be applied. This layer was defined using a solid color channel not present in the original artwork, allowing precise recognition during print processing. Inside the print software, I managed color separation and channel mapping, assigning the designated color layer to the varnish output. The workflow was handled through channel configuration, where I generated specific varnish channels aligned with the printer’s dual varnish heads, ensuring accurate coverage, consistency, and finish intensity. After prepress preparation, I executed the physical production process, including print output, material handling, and final trimming, delivering fully finished print samples ready for real-world evaluation.
